MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) 2011 Winners | Complete List

The MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) 2011 is being staged today at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. The said awards give recognition to the top music videos and performances to singers and bands last year.

MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) 2011

Just before the show started, MTV announced through its official website that Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Katy Perry and Adele already received awards. According to MTV, Lady Gaga was the winner of the newest award category, "Best Video with a Message" for "Born this Way" while Beyonce took home "Best Choreography in a Video" award for "Run The World."

Katy Perry, this year's most nominated artist, also received an award for "E.T." which is the "Best Special Effects in a Video."

Adele is so far the biggest winner since she already was awarded three (3) professional awards which include the "Best Editing in a Video", "Best Art Direction in a Video" and "Best Editing in a Video," all for her smash hit "Rolling in the Deep."

The 2011 Teen Choice Awards was successfully held at the Universal City's Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, California on August 7, 2011.

Taylor Swift wins big at the Teen Choice Awards 2011

Hosted by Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco, the teen awards show gave the most number of recognition to singing sensation Taylor Swift who took home a total of 6 awards including the "Ultimate Choice Award." Following closely was Disney star Selena Gomez who bagged 5 surfboard-shaped trophies while her boyfriend Justin Bieber walked away with 4.

On its 54th year, the annual New York Festivals International Television Programming and Promotion Awards recently handed out awards to the "The World's Best Work" in news, documentary, information and entertainment programming as well as in music videos, infomercials, promotion spots, openings and ID's.

Angel Locsin receives a nomination from an International Award-Giving Body again!

Not so long ago that the beautiful Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin was recognized for her acting prowess by the Emmy's in Hollywood. And once again, the Lobo lead received a nomination from an international award-giving body, this time, the Shorty Awards 2011 (considered as the Oscars of Twitter writers). Angel is nominated in the Best Twitter Celebrity category.

Angel Locsin is competing against various stars from all-over the world including Brazilian singer/songwriter Ivete Sangalo (@ivetesangalo), Canadian actor Nathan Fillion (@NathanFillion), Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte (@ClaudiaLeitte), British actor/writer/director Stephen Fry (@stephenfry), and Canadian actor David Hewlett (@dhewlett).

There is also another Filipino nominated for this year's Shorty Awards. Daniel Razon (@DanielRazon) also made it to the list of nominees in the Best Journalist category.

The 2011 Shorty Awards will be held on March 3, 2011 at the Times Center in the New York Times Building.

24th PMPC Star Awards for Television (2010) List of Winners

Held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila, The 24th Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Television was held successfully last night, November 13, 2010. It was hosted by Angel Aquino, Miriam Quiambao and Ruffa Gutierrez.

It was a big win for ABS-CBN dominating the number of awards brought home by its shows and talents - a total of 29 awards all in all.

PBB alum Gerald Anderson and Kapuso hunk Dingdong Dantes bagged their first acting awards - Best Single Performance by an Actor and Best Drama Actor, respectively. While, Gretchen Barretto was given the Best Performance by an Actress Award second time in a row.

Recovery Star Eminem and country hitmaker Lady Antebellum both earned the most number of nominations for the 38th American Music Awards which will be held at the Nokia Theatre L.A.
