A Little About Me

Yesterday I was having breakfast (well breakfast for me, dinner for anyone else that did not stay up for 27 hours watching season one of Sons of Anarchy and the Mad Men season one marathon).  We were having a fairly normal conversation when she asked me a question:  do I wish things had turned out different?  I have a feeling she meant in our relationship, but I started thinking about it in the more broader spectrum.

The answer is no.  I like the way things have went in my life.  The problem with thinking about how things could be different is that no one ever thinks about what else could have changed.  Without getting into too many details, let me just say that some of the bad decisions, have helped shape the good decisions.

And then I started thinking about my relationship with Kacie.  I do not wish things were different, but I do wish certain aspects of my personality were different.  I wish that I had been able to make changes.  Sadly, I did not, and I probably never will.  Instead I will now make fun of myself for the rest of you to read.

1.  Selfish
I am a very selfish person.  If I do not want to do something, that is it.  For the entirety of our relationship Kacie asked me, no wait, begged me, to go snowboarding.  Just give it a try she would say.  She begged me.  And my answer was always no.  A better man would have tried it.

Kacie on the other hand, was a selfless person.  She would give anything a chance.  She started watching baseball, specifically the Pirates.  She started reading comics...

2.  Stubborn
I am also a very stubborn person (it is a Croyle flaw).  Obviously from the above, you can see that I have a tendency to be stubborn.  I am also stubborn when it comes to ideas.  Sometimes it is a good thing, like if I get something in my head, I do not stop until it is complete.  Sadly though, sometimes it can be a problem.

3.  Argumentative
This is sometimes a good quality.  In fact, some people find it attractive, especially when they think I am passionate about something.  Unfortunately, there are times when I like to argue just for the sake of arguing.  If a girl tells me that the sky is blue, I will argue to death that the sky is a light green.

So to answer the question, yes there are things that I would change.  Not actual events, but instead my own personality defects.  Well this is the worst post ever.  I apologize.  And I hope that none of you jump to idiotic conclusions about this post.

Vacation Results

As most of you know, I have been on vacation all week long.  That is right folks, I have been off for the past ten days and I have loved every minute of it.  I get four weeks of vacation, so this one was meant to be somewhat relaxing.  Needless to say, it ended up being superawesome!  Yeah, it's a word, I just made it up.  You know what this means, right?  Yep, I am going to chronicle my entire vacation.

Friday
I got done with work at 11 p.m. (I will be honest, I shut my brain off at work around 6:30) and headed home.  I decided to head over to the Pub for a beer or two.  I ended up leaving the Pub with some folks and heading to some place in Morrisdale where there was live music going on.  It was actually pretty cool, the band was playing a good amount of Bob Dylan, which I enjoyed.

Saturday
I went to my friend Jason's party to celebrate his birthday.  I did not want to say birthday party because that makes him sound like he is eleven.  I hung out for awhile, with all intentions of drinking heavily and spending the night, but then I got a killer headache and had to go home.  Damn shame too, drinking is fun.

Sunday
I ended up waking up pretty early on Sunday, mainly because I went to bed at like midnight.  I got breakfast, read my book for awhile then came back to the apartment.  I spent the majority of the day watching baseball and reading.  It was a nice relaxing day, which helped prepare me for Monday...

Monday
I woke up and went to lunch with Kacie.  It was a good time and after we took a walk.  We ended up at the park, enjoying the swingsets.  It was a fun afternoon and it led up to me leaving for Pittsburgh.

I drove down to Pittsburgh to stay with my friend Steve.  We went out to Mugshots to partake in some trivia, like before.  We got pretty drunk and we did not win at trivia this time.  In fact, because of my stupidity we ended up losing.  If I had listened to Denise, we would have won (I think).  Instead I made the mistake of convincing everyone that my answer was right.  Although, I did draw a pretty good map of the United Kingdom and Ireland to prove my point that the only country bordering the UK is Ireland.

After trivia we continued drinking and then Steve, Denise, Mikaela, and myself went back to Steve's to continue drinking.  The following pictures were taken by Mikaela and illustrate how insanely drunk I must have been.
What the hell kind of face am I making?

I love this picture.  What the hell is that?  Some kind of weird dance?

Sometimes I really wonder what goes through my brain during an intense drinking session.

Tuesday
I did not wake up until about three and decided to head on home.

By the time I got home, I had missed the first inning of Stephen Strasburg's debut against the Pirates.

I sat at home watching the game and amping myself up for Wednesday.

Wednesday
I already wrote about the entire day.  Read all about it here.

Thursday
I decided to just relax and sleep in for a good chunk of the day.  I then went to my mom's house and picked up laundry detergent and came back to do some much needed laundry.  After awhile though, I got kind of bored with it and decided to go out to the Pub.

The Pub was actually kind of busy for a weeknight.  I got pretty drunk.  No lies.

Friday
Adam, his girlfriend Lora, Lora's daughter Aubrey, and I went to a graduation party.  Unfortunately, we were told the wrong date.  So while in Spring Valley we stopped out at our grandparents house and spent the evening hanging out with them.  The plan was to go home and get some sleep because I was going to Hershey Park with Adam and Lora.

Unfortunately, I could not sleep at all.  I only got like two hours of sleep.

Saturday
We got down to the park by ten and immediately started hitting up the coasters.  We had a great day.  Sadly though, it started to rain at like 6:30 and we ended up heading home.  Needless to say the lack of sleep made my drive home a little difficult.

Once home, I watched the Pirates lose again and took a shower.  Adam called me and we went out to the Pub.  We played some darts and pool, drank some beers, then walked home.  I then had a great phone conversation with a superawesome (there is that word again) girl.  I did not get to sleep until after 5:30 a.m.

Sunday
I slept almost all day.  I then went up to mom's house and ate a burger.  Then I came home and continued to just relax.  I watched True Blood and Treme.  I then went to bed.

Needless to say, it was a fantastic vacation.  Now I must shave the beard and go to work.  Look at that face?  Can you see how sad I am.

Weekend Update

I had a pretty awesome weekend.  Why?  Well I was off and that always makes it 46X better than going to work.  Anyways, here is a recap of the weekend, this should be about as fun for you as a rectal exam!

Friday
I got home from work around five and decided to just relax for a little bit.  After awhile I took a shower and got ready with the intention of maybe going out for a beer or something.  Well I sat down on the couch and ended up finishing my book.  After that I no longer felt like going anywhere, so I curled up on the couch and watched the first half of the second season of Mad Men.

Saturday
I woke up Saturday and decided to clean up my apartment a little bit.  Nothing major, just emptying the trash, throwing away soda bottles...etc.  Then I went to the grocery store and spent the majority of my $100 gift card from my mom.  Finally have food in the apartment again.

Around four I went over to have dinner with Kacie at Red Lobster (which she and her friends call "The Lob", yes it is gay).  We had this really cute waitress server seafood expert named Alyssa.  A seafood expert?  Yes, she apparently knows everything there is to know about the proper methods for filleting tilapia.

We left there with the intention of seeing a movie, to kill time we headed to Target.  Kacie decided she did not want to see a movie and that we should buy a game or something instead.  I call my mom and she says that she is up for some Scrabble, so Kacie and I head over to my mom's house.

We play a game of Scrabble with my mom (she kicks our asses) and watch the Eagles get destroyed by the Cowboys.  Mom goes to bed, so Kacie and I play another game, which I win.

Sunday
I get up and decide it is time to do laundry.  Not only do I do the laundry, but I put it away.  Simply amazing.  I also read some comics and watch football all day.  I went over to my brother's place to watch the new Family Guy Star Wars DVD, which was quite funny.  Later that night Kacie calls and wants me to go to the Arena for karaoke.

I head over and get tortured by people singing badly.  People need to stop singing crap like Rob Base.  And if you do insist on giving us some good old early 90s rap, then please tuck your t-shirt into your jeans.  That makes you look gangsta.  Also, Robert, do not sing Coldplay...

Karaoke can be a good time, especially if you are drunk enough and do not notice how bad everyone is singing.  Unfortunately that was not the case for me, plus if you have ever gone enough you learn that everyone does the same songs at every karaoke bar in the world.  Why do they have the huge book?  Just get a sheet of paper with like 50 songs...

Anyways, we left there and headed back to my place where we drank some more beers and discussed comics.  So, you may be asking the question "what made the weekend so good?"  Well I did not do all the much, yet I felt like I got a lot accomplished.  It was nice to not drink (especially on Saturday), actually nicer not being hung over all weekend and sleeping each day away.

And so you do not feel like this was a complete waste of your time, here is a picture of January Jones from Mad Men.  She is so hot.

Drunken Nights

I know most of you have been wondering why I have not posted anything about Halloween or the Ohio State game. Well the truth is, I got really drunk. I will do my best to tell the stories of each night.

Halloween
For about a week, Kacie was bugging me to go to this party on Gill Street instead of going out to the bars. I finally relented and said that I would go. I asked Revan if he wanted to go and he said sure, I then informed him he needed a costume, not his shirt that says "this is my costume."

He picks me up and we head over to State, he is dressed as Elmo and I am dressed as a priest. Insert your child molestation jokes here. We decide to go to Zeno's before heading to this party, shoot a few games of pool, drink some beers (they had Spaten Oktoberfest, mmmm), and then walk to the party. Immediately I realize that having Elmo around is going to be quite interesting.

We walk up to the party and cannot find Kacie, nor can we find anything to drink. We meander around for about ten minutes until we run into the person that makes every party suck: Raj! He talks to us for a few minutes, at which point my brain begins to throb, and I tell Elmo that we need to go find some booze or I might have a stroke.

We head back downtown, to the bar 797 (it used to be Sportscafe). We get a few drinks and chill there for the rest of the night. Nothing insane happened, I ran into some bartenders from Champs, the one was really trashed. The coolest thing about the evening was watching Elmo hit on girls.

The Ohio State Game
The game sucked. Penn State played like shit. Now that we got that outta the way, let me tell you about my day.

I met my brother (his name is Adam for those of you who might be slightly retarded), his girlfriend (Lora, who I had never met before this day), Joe, Jarrod, and Chase at the Lion's Den. They were all pretty well tore up, so I had to start drinking fast to help catch up.

We went over to Baby's to eat, Kacie joined us at that point, and then went to Bar Bleu to finish watching the game. Once we realized it was over, we went back to Philipsburg to drink at the Pub.

Time is like a river, it flows in one direction. Unfortunately after copious amounts of alcohol, my time flow started to hit some choppy water and maybe a few waterfalls. I remember playing pool and darts with my brother. I remember talking to my cousin Tim. I also remember walking home with Chase. I remember the halfway point and explaining to Chase that my brother's place is up that street. I have not heard anything about a missing person, so I am assuming Chase made it home alive.

I can tell you that I felt like death the next day. I seriously wanted someone to put me out of my misery. I think I was still hungover when I went to work Monday.

Unfortunately, I never have pictures from these kind of events, so I just put up the first "drunken elmo" picture I could steal from someone, and one of Adam and Lora. It's basically the same as being there!

Where the Wild Things Are

I was going to try and post a review of the movie, but then I read filmdrunk's review and decided that was almost exactly how I felt about the movie. I had a few differences, but they are slight and really not worth mentioning.

Actually, I want to point out this post over at stuffwhitepeoplelike. Take a minute and read it, and come back when you are finished.

Okay, after Kacie and I saw the movie, a few nights later we are at Champs enjoying a tasty beer, and there are two guys beside us discussing movies. One white guy (probably mid 20s) and one black guy (in his 40s). The black guy says how he did not really like the movie because it was a bit dark and scary for his kids.

The white guy cannot seem to comprehend this and starts saying stuff like this:
"But dude, it's a Spike Jonze movie! He is awesome."
"How can you not be a fan of Mark Sendak's books?"
"The book changed my life as a child."

I really wish I was making this shit up, but I am not. The first comment is funny because I wonder if the guy actually knows the body of work Spike Jonze has done? Being John Malkovich and Adaptation, about the only things I can think of that he directed.

I believe he meant Maurice Sendak for the second comment, and I will be honest with you, looking at his works on wikipedia, I have only heard of WTWTA. The reason I thought of the stuffwhitepeoplelike post is because of their reference to Fight Club. I bet money this is a guy who tells people he read the book long before the movie came out. I am one of the few people who decided to buy the book after seeing the movie...

I also wonder if the white guy meant he was a fan of David Eggers books? I have never read any of his books, in fact I do not think I have heard of any of them. I guess that makes me dumb or something.

Last comment though really cracked me up: the book changed his life as a child. What the fuck does that mean? When I was a kid, I am pretty sure a peanut butter & apple butter sandwich would have changed my life. Ten sentences changed my life forever. What did this guy do as a child, read this story and say "damn, I should not be so wild. Allow me to start volunteering at the local animal shelter, or maybe I should read Voltaire."

And people wonder why I want to kill 93% of the people I see...

Girlfriend of the Week

This week's GOTW goes out to my friend Marie. She is very attractive and a very funny person to hang out with. She actually stayed at my apartment for a few days when Kacie and I lived downtown. So here are some pictures of her for everyone to enjoy.

Vacation Part Two

Last week I was on vacation, and like usual, I am going to pretty much force my exploits down all of your throats. Yes, I am evil.

It started out with a bang. Friday night my brother calls me to go out to the Pub in Philipsburg. We drink, shoot pool, and have a fantastic time. Unfortunately, nothing all that insane happened, so I will not go into the minute details.

On Saturday, I hung out with Kacie, which is always a fun time. We watched movies and just relaxed. Very nice, I needed it after the week of work I had. Sunday, I packed up my things and headed on down to Pittsburgh. Unfortunately, I had to go because of mine and Steve's court date.

I thought court was on Monday, but I was wrong and it was definitely on Tuesday. So, I went over to Mugshots and got drunk with MCA and Steve. We then drank at Steve's place with Nicole (nothing like drinking until 5:00 a.m.)

Tuesday comes and we head to court, which gets postponed yet again! Talk about annoying. Hopefully this will end in October (especially with the jerk in jail).

So, I headed on home and packed more stuff up and headed to the beach. That is where some insanity happened. Let me explain what a few days of drinking all day can be like with me. I sometimes say things you should not say to people in public.

The first night (after doing way too many shots at a few bars), I hopped on the bus to head down to the club. There was this ugly, skanky whore on the bus. She was talking to my friend and I. She kept saying she was 31 and that she used to be a stripper. She also kept asking these 16 year old girls if they wanted to do coke, which they declined. Here are some of the things I said to this woman:
"31? Are you fuckin' insane? You are definitely pushing 50, maybe 60."
"You did coke when you were 15? Look girls, this is what happens when you do drugs. You shrivel up and become a whore."
"You were a stripper? You couldn't pay me enough to see you naked."

These kind of insults kept going on and on. She thought we were going to pay her cover to the club (it was like $25). When we get to the door, she says "I am with them" (we had free passes). I then respond "like hell, why would we bring a nasty, old whore into a club with hot chicks everywhere?" She ends up paying the cover and following us around.

Inside the club, I got ridiculously drunk and stumbled around a bunch. I then proceeded to get a cab and go back to where I was staying and pass out. This was impressive because when I was sober I could not remember the address or find the place.

The next ended up getting crazier. I met these cool people, who happened to be Philly fans, at a Steelers bar. They were older than me, but they loved just making fun of everyone. We sat at the bar and just verbally abused everyone we could. Yes, I am mature. Needless to say we went to a few bars together, shot some pool (I won), played shuffleboard (I lost) and took over the jukebox at some little dive bar.

I later went to another bar and got plenty drunk yet again, and watched my friend try to get into a fight. After calming that situation, I met some Pittsburgh folks and started a nice Steelers chant, which started a nice verbal war between us and some Ravens fans. We ended up on the bus continuing the verbal battles. Needless to say it was pretty fun.

I came back home and pretty much let my body heal up. I went to work on Monday, and then had two more days off. I went to Champs on Monday night, then out to the Pub and then Suttons on Tuesday.

It was an excellent time, and I am completely rested up and ready to get back to work. Okay, that's a lie, I wish I could stay on vacation. I need to hit the Powerball.

A New Era

With the Pirates trades today of Jack Wilson, Freddy Sanchez, and Ian Snell, the Pirates are entering a new era. Since the new regime has taken over, it cannot be said that they have not tried to change (for the better I hope). Need some proof? Kacie and I went to this game. The Buccos won the game over the Rangers with Ian Snell pitching, here was the starting lineup:

Bautista 3B
Duffy CF
Sanchez 2B
Bay LF
LaRoche 1B
Nady RF
Castillo SS
Paulino C
Snell P

Not one guy from that game plays for the team now. McLouth was a defensive replacement for Nady. Snell pitched a complete game. Talk about craziness.

So what are my thoughts on the trades? I liked both of them today. The pitcher (Alderson) we got for Sanchez sounds like he could be a good 2-3 starter (only 20 and doing very well in AA).

Honestly, I cannot believe we got that much for Wilson. I know most people like to believe those two are superstars, but the truth is they were not that spectacular. Wilson is great at defense, average bat. Sanchez, well he can hit for a high average, but no power and he sometimes slumps like crazy. Also both are injury prone.

It is sad to see them both go, especially when you think about games where everyone of us has seen them do something amazing. I believe though, these moves can help this team into the future, and we may actually see the beginnings of a real winning team emerge.

Funny Video

The video is of Kevin Smith talking about Twilight girls at San Diego Comic-Con. This is mostly for Kacie, since I always make fun of the series when I see her. Anyways, here are some of Smith's thoughts he posted on twitter as well. Quite amusing.

It's That Time Again

This week and the past weekend have went by way too fast, and as you can tell there have been no real posts from me. In fact, the last post was well thought out in my head, unfortunately being up since 4 a.m. did not help out the actual writing.

Anyways, let me give you a recap of the things I have been doing this week and whatnot.

Brüno
I saw the movie over the weekend, and as you can tell it must not have been good enough to get its own post. Do not get me wrong, at times the movie was hilarious, but some of the other stuff was not all that good. It's about what I expected, if you watched Da Ali G Show, you'll agree that Brüno was the weakest character.

The highlight of the movie is the ending, watching drunken rednecks freak out about their hero being gay is hilarious (especially the fat dude who is so angry, he is close to tears.) I did not like the Ron Paul bit, they try to make him look bad, yet he reacted how many people would (even if they were extremely tolerant) if some guy started taking his clothes off and tried to seduce them.

Anyways, the movie is funny, just nothing near the level as Borat.

Poker
On Saturday night, Kacie and I went to my grandparents house to play poker. I ended up winning the final game by taking Kacie, Pap, and Gram out in one hand, allowing me to score all the money ($22, I'm rich). Yes, I may have tricked Kacie into calling, but whatever, I never claimed to be ethical.

Work
The worst thing about working at 6:30 a.m.: Getting up at 4:45. That shit sucks. Especially on Wednesday, I got up at 4 and had to be at Indiana for a meeting. I hate meetings. Sadly this is specific as I can get about the Place That Shall Not Be Named for Fear That They Will Fire Me.

All-Star Game
I sat up watching the home run derby. It was pretty dull this year. I went to bed after the first round, Berman and Morgan made me ill. The All-Star game was probably a good one, but I had to get to bed. It was ridiculous that they did not get started until after 9. Also, asking the President if he wants to stick around in the booth was annoying. He's the President, he has things he needs to be doing, not being the color man for Fox's baseball broadcasts.

The Flash
I recently read the two Flash trades that the Comic Swap included into my order. Apparently they reprint the Morrison/Millar run on the title, but were from the late 90s or something. They sucked.

Why does Grant Morrison have a thing for words that have no vowels and odd letter combos? I think he comes up with names by just randomly hitting the keyboard, like so: aoangsd and then replacing the vowels with Z,X,Y: Zxyngsd, the newest Batman villain.

You can tell Millar is helping out on the book because there are all kinds of random pop culture references in there (sadly most of them are ten years old by now, and it's hard to remember them). Oh look, Wally is sad and mourning, let's give him a goatee, longer hair, and a flannel. Pearl Jam rocks!

Powerball
I keep playing, I still have not won the jackpot. I will let you know when I do though.

This is Zaira Nara. No clue who she is, but she is hot and her name rhymes (I think)

The Hangover

Last week I decided to go see a movie with Kacie. I met up with her and we had no idea what movie we were going to see, it was between The Hangover and Transformers 2. Luckily, the choice was made for us because she had to be out of the theater before midnight to turn in some online assignment. Thank imaginary beings for that one because The Hangover was fuckin' hilarious.

When I first saw the preview for the movie, I thought that it looked kind of stupid. Also, once everyone in the universe started saying it was hilarious, my next thoughts were, "oh great, another movie that everyone will quote, so now I have to see it, or I'll never have any clue what they are talking about (the main reason I eventually watched Anchorman).

The movie cracked me up. There was plenty of stupid humor, but also some pretty subtle stuff that made me laugh. For those of you that never saw Zach Galifianakis do stand up (especially on the Comedians of Comedy Tour with Patton Oswalt), you have no idea what you are missing.

I was afraid that they would use him as a "Jack Black Light" kind of character, but instead they allowed him to be more of himself, which is absolutely hilarious. Here is a little bit of his stand up to help you understand how odd he can be.

The movie has a little bit of everything, and by that I really do mean everything. You got Mike Tyson, a tiger, a baby pretending to jerk off, gay Asians, funny comments like "Did the real Caesar live here?", Heather Graham's breast, Michael's father from Arrested Development, stolen police cars, and pretty much anything else...

Fun Time at the Pool

Today I went to the Penn State pool with Kacie. Most of you that know me, understand my disdain for swimming. People think I am weird because I do not even go into the water. I can swim, I just do not enjoy it for some reason. So while I was lying there reading my book, I got to make a few observations about the people around me, which I will now share with you.

Tattoos
Almost everyone has a tattoo of some kind. Seriously, I would say 90% of the PSU students at the pool today had some kind of idiotic tattoo. I heard one group of guys making fun of another guy because he had the Penn State symbol on his chest. Sadly the guy doing most of the trash talking, had the Pennsylvania state outline in the exact same spot. Yeah, real cool pal.

I am getting that old, that it seems weird to see that many tattoos? I do not remember everyone in college having a tattoo during my time there.

Deuschebaggery
Obviously, deuschebags have been around since the beginning of time. I imagine one caveman being all cocky and walking around talking about how he killed a mammoth and banged a bunch of chicks (actually, I am guessing that is all cavemen talked about, every single one of them...)

Every time a guy gets out of the pool, they all would flex and act like some kind of model. It is quite amusing to watch, I half expected some of them to start beating their chests in hopes of attracting a mate.

Also, talking about weight lifting for twenty minutes (loud enough so everyone can hear you) is not cool. No one gives a crap how much you bench press, or what kind of workout you do. You are a deusch, give it a rest.

Hot Chicks
All of those idiots are worth enduring though because there was a plethora of hot girls walking around. Unfortunately, as soon as they started talking, my brain wanted to explode.

Nothing makes me feel old like listening to girls discuss the movie Mean Girls. Also, the loud bitch talking about how her one friend was a dork because he was reading a book with a highlighter should probably be shot in the face. I would imagine he was reading for a class, if not though, good for him, active reading is a good thing. Sorry my dear, he should have been reading some celebrity magazine.

Another fun thing to occupy my time with was the guy and girl having a fight. The girl was very hot (way too hot for the guy she was fighting with). Apparently he came by the pool to check up on her, which pissed her off. All she wanted was a day to hang out with her friends, and he was upset because he did not know who she was with.

The girls sitting near me started commenting on how he was probably cheating on her because he was so insecure. I do not care either way, I just kept wondering why he was dressed like a retard. Hat cocked to the side, baggy mesh shorts, and a Dodgers shirt. Someone needed to punch him in the ear. The best part of their argument though was she kept pushing her boobs together (which were fantastic) and that pretty much made my day.

Stupid Signs
There were also two really stupid signs hanging around the pool. The first one reads "No Breath Holding." What the hell does that mean? You should not hold your breath? That seems like a sure fire way to die underwater, unless you have gills.

The second sign reads ""Parents" watch your children." Why is parents in quotes? I understand that maybe the people there with children are not their parents, but it should then say something like "Guardians" or "Person Who Kidnapped Those Children."

The Sun
Sadly for me though, since I never get outside in the summertime, I tend to get a little burnt. I used to never burn, I guess I lost any pigment from my days of being outside...this picture is not very good, but hopefully it shows the redness.

Friday's Game

Let me tell you how much fun Friday's game was against the Braves. Umm, well it was a blast. Steve, Kacie, and I had awesome seats, like 4 rows behind the first base dugout. We sat with all the rich folks, it was a little weird.

We saw our second shutout, with Paul Maholm pitching masterfully. Nate hit a monster home run, and we enjoyed a great night. Afterward we headed to Mugshots to drink some beer. Please enjoy the pictures.

This is a shot of PNC Park across the bridge. We obviously did not stop for Kacie to take the picture.

This is not Kacie's amazing zoom, this is how close we were to the players. Pretty freakin' sweet. Anyways, I think this was the point where Mitsy and Bob (the rich folk in front of us) were saying this was Andy LaRoche. I kept saying that it was Adam, but they would not listen. Apparently they are hard to distinguish (Adam is left handed, Andy is a righty)...Also, Bob acted like he knew everything, they would ask him questions and he would get them wrong, but I would swoop in for the steal...

Steve and I flashing our double play sign. It worked in the first inning when the Braves had the bases loaded with one out.

The Parrot seemed to be humping that little girl's face. It was quite creepy.

This kid had a Braves hat, which the Parrot kept lifting out of his reach. It was funny, but if I were the little kid, I would have pushed the Parrot off the dugout. See who is laughing then...

Sometimes I really hate Kacie, she had to call the Parrot over for a picture. I have no problem with mascots, but I do not like to be around them. Not because I have some weird phobia or anything. I just know the kind of people that enjoy wearing those suits. That guy is probably a registered sex offender, half drunk, and sporting a super hard on. He is rubbing my head saying to himself "oh yeah, I'm gonna fuck your mouth baby." It creeps me out.

This is the three of us, I said serious pose, but apparently Kacie did not listen. There is a better one on her computer, but I must have missed it when I emailed them to myself. Oops, I am an idiot.

These last bunch of pictures were taken at Mugshots. You can tell I drank a good bit because my expressions are starting to get a bit retarded. That is Ryan in the picture up there, he showed up to introduce us to his new girlfriend, Shara (no clue if I spelled it right). When he said it, I thought he was saying Sara, but with a lisp (which would fit him, since he is gay). She seemed pretty cool, but then again, I was drunk, so a fire hydrant would have been cool too.

Going Home

Well, it has been almost two years since I moved down to Pittsburgh, two fun years. Unfortunately, the time has come to an end and I must return home. The company I work for (that shall not be named) has finally granted my wish of returning to the central Pennsylvania region. I will be moving back up there in four or five weeks.

I will be living at my mom's house for a little bit and then I will try to find my own place or maybe find a roommate (anyone want one of those?). I am pretty excited about it, but also very sad. I have made plenty of friends down here, and will miss everyone.

I will definitely miss the fun times over at Mugshots with Steve. Before I go we need to have another Pirate home opener where we get absolutely bombed. Speaking of Mugshots, I will miss the hot bartenders: Jen, Anastasia, and Nicole. Also, MCA because he has a license to ill...

I will miss some of the people I work with, well most of them to be honest. Especially guys like Sean and Mike, we have drank plenty of beers together and I hope to see them again throughout our careers.

I am still upset that I never really got a chance to hang out with Allison, or Tami for that matter. I guess they will have to come up to Penn State...

Many of you might think this is odd, that if I am going to miss so much about my life down here, why even leave? However, these are the things I will get to enjoy being back in the center of the state. Seeing Kacie more than once or twice a month. Going to the movies with my brother. Attending any of the numerous family functions. Playing poker with the family. Hanging out with the few friends I have left from my PSU days. And last, but not least, making new friends and meeting new people. That is always a little bit scary, yet exciting.

Morbid

I try not to be a morbid person, but sometimes I just cannot help it. That being said, the one form of death that truly scares is dying in the shower. I started thinking about it the other day when I almost slipped in my shower. I then began to wonder how long it would be before anyone noticed.

I imagine Kacie would be the first person to become truly worried, since we talk every day. Sometimes we do not actually talk, but at least we call each other. She would definitely think something was weird if she kept calling and I did not respond. I imagine after a day or so she would probably call my mom and ask if she heard from me. That would prompt someone to make the trip down here to find out what was wrong.

If I missed work, I am sure my boss would keep calling. If I did not show up the next day, he would probably call the corporate office and get my emergency contact, my mom, and give her a call. Which, would prompt her to find out where I was.

I wonder if my neighbors would think the shower running for 24 hours was weird? Probably not. I really have no one who stops over for a visit very often, nor do any of my friends or family back home have contact information for the people I know here. Think about that for a second. If I die in my shower, I could be in here for a few days before I am found. Most likely getting fired in the process. I would be one of the few people fired for being dead.

Do not worry, this is not me being sad or depressed, just thinking out loud...

Silly

Kacie and her friend have been doing this goofy exercise video from the 1920s, called Callanetics. I honestly do not know anything about it, except that watching them do it was pretty funny. I found a video of it and this is exactly what they were doing, quite funny.

Girlfriend of the Week

In celebration of Valentine's Day weekend, there can only be one GOTW. And no, it is not Christopher Lambert...This week's lucky winner is our first repeat: Kacie McClintic. As I searched online of all the pictures of us together, I came to the realization that there were very few of us actually together. Mostly she takes pictures of me being drunk and stupid, or I am not around when the camera is out and pictures are being taken of her. So, if anyone has pictures of just us two, please send them to me. Or post them on facebook or myspace and tag one of us...Anyways, here is another of the beautiful Kacie:

Super Bowl XLIII

I know you are all wanting to know about how and where I watched/celebrated the Steelers Super Bowl victory. Not to disappoint you, here comes the story. Complete with pictures.

So, Kacie and I arrived at Mugshots at 6:00 p.m. I only planned to drink until half-time because I had to open the store at 5:00 a.m. The place was extremely packed. I started drinking beer and they went down very smooth. I drank three beers before kick-off. By the time half-time came around, I was drunk.

We stood with MCA (my friend from Mugshots, his real name is Sean) and his dad (Pops). Jen and Nicole were our fabulous bartenders. At the half I started drinking water and then after we celebrated for a bit, went home.

Kacie won the raffle contest, and received an authentic Polamalu jersey. At the end of the game I stood there screaming "How many times?" MCA would scream "Six times!!!" We did that for like ten minutes, which caused me to lose my voice.

A gentleman knocked my cigar out of my hand and was pissed because I was smoking it. Danny came to my defense and the guy apologized. Instead of being my normal dickish self, I moved down like three feet so it would not blow near him.

Thoughts On The Game
-Did it feel like the refs were trying to make it a close game? Not to sound like a typical fan, who feels the refs were out to get his/her team, but it looked like the Cardinals were blatantly holding on every play. I know that there is holding on every play, but some of them were pretty bad.

-Some people have said that Harrison deserved the MVP. His interception was awesome, but his defense (he is the captain by the way) almost lost the game in the 4th quarter. They were bailed out by Big Ben and Holmes. That was probably the greatest catch in Super Bowl history.

-Fuck the commercials.

Pictures
Without further ado, here are the pictures from that fantastic night.

Kacie, MCA, and Danny.
