Super Bowl XLV

I figured I could not take any chances and perhaps jinx the Steelers, I decided to go to Mugshots to watch the game.  I figured it worked out well last time...By now you know the outcome, the Packers won the game.  Congratulations to them, they played a great game.

Lindsey and I got to Mugshots around 4:30 and hung around outside with MCA (Sean), playing catch and a little cornhole.  The place was packed inside and we found a place to stand (almost the same place I stood last time).  As the game was about to start, Danny (the guy who runs the bar) played Renegade.  I tried to take a video of it, hope it came out okay.

-I have heard a lot of people saying that the game was fixed.  That the league did not want the Steelers to win the game because of Ben's off the field issues and the way the defense likes to hit people (mainly Harrison).  I do not believe that, but it did feel like the Packers were getting away with a few holding calls (or could it be that as a fan, I notice it more against my team than when my team does it?)  I suppose it will be one of those things I will have to watch another time and be more objective.  I have watched Super Bowl XL again and seen all the poor calls that Seattle fans bitched about.

-I feel like the Steelers should have kept running the ball.  They seemed like they were looking for the big play.  Also, the defense seemed very flat.  Was Troy at 100%?  The final two games he just did not seem to be there.

-The game seemed so surreal.  I (and probably everyone else) expected Ben to lead the Steelers down the field on that final drive and win the game.  When they turned it over on downs at the end, it was the first moment all night where I went "oh shit, we are not going to win this game."

-I do not care about talking about the idiot screwing up the national anthem.  Nor do I care about the half-time show.  Or the commercials.

-Dallas did a great job of hosting a Super Bowl though.  I mean, the city forgot to check the weather and order salt.  The stadium screwed up a bunch of people's tickets.   And there was a stripper shortage.  And people think State College would be able to handle a Super Bowl if it were the Steelers/Eagles.

-Do you remember my NFL predictions?  I picked the Packers to be a wild card team and beat the AFC North team in the Super Bowl.  How awesome am I?  Oh and I said that the AFC Championship game would be the North champ beating the Jets.  It does not matter that I picked the Ravens to win the division (I never pick the Steelers).

And now for some pictures...
I have no idea why I took this picture.  I think it was after a random stop.

Lindsey decked out in her scarf.  She wore it all game.  Odd.

MCA looking nervous at kickoff.  People think he was just this way because it was the Super Bowl, but he gets like this for preseason games as well.

MCA and I before the game started.  We looked much sadder and much drunker later.

Vacation Results

As most of you know, I have been on vacation all week long.  That is right folks, I have been off for the past ten days and I have loved every minute of it.  I get four weeks of vacation, so this one was meant to be somewhat relaxing.  Needless to say, it ended up being superawesome!  Yeah, it's a word, I just made it up.  You know what this means, right?  Yep, I am going to chronicle my entire vacation.

Friday
I got done with work at 11 p.m. (I will be honest, I shut my brain off at work around 6:30) and headed home.  I decided to head over to the Pub for a beer or two.  I ended up leaving the Pub with some folks and heading to some place in Morrisdale where there was live music going on.  It was actually pretty cool, the band was playing a good amount of Bob Dylan, which I enjoyed.

Saturday
I went to my friend Jason's party to celebrate his birthday.  I did not want to say birthday party because that makes him sound like he is eleven.  I hung out for awhile, with all intentions of drinking heavily and spending the night, but then I got a killer headache and had to go home.  Damn shame too, drinking is fun.

Sunday
I ended up waking up pretty early on Sunday, mainly because I went to bed at like midnight.  I got breakfast, read my book for awhile then came back to the apartment.  I spent the majority of the day watching baseball and reading.  It was a nice relaxing day, which helped prepare me for Monday...

Monday
I woke up and went to lunch with Kacie.  It was a good time and after we took a walk.  We ended up at the park, enjoying the swingsets.  It was a fun afternoon and it led up to me leaving for Pittsburgh.

I drove down to Pittsburgh to stay with my friend Steve.  We went out to Mugshots to partake in some trivia, like before.  We got pretty drunk and we did not win at trivia this time.  In fact, because of my stupidity we ended up losing.  If I had listened to Denise, we would have won (I think).  Instead I made the mistake of convincing everyone that my answer was right.  Although, I did draw a pretty good map of the United Kingdom and Ireland to prove my point that the only country bordering the UK is Ireland.

After trivia we continued drinking and then Steve, Denise, Mikaela, and myself went back to Steve's to continue drinking.  The following pictures were taken by Mikaela and illustrate how insanely drunk I must have been.
What the hell kind of face am I making?

I love this picture.  What the hell is that?  Some kind of weird dance?

Sometimes I really wonder what goes through my brain during an intense drinking session.

Tuesday
I did not wake up until about three and decided to head on home.

By the time I got home, I had missed the first inning of Stephen Strasburg's debut against the Pirates.

I sat at home watching the game and amping myself up for Wednesday.

Wednesday
I already wrote about the entire day.  Read all about it here.

Thursday
I decided to just relax and sleep in for a good chunk of the day.  I then went to my mom's house and picked up laundry detergent and came back to do some much needed laundry.  After awhile though, I got kind of bored with it and decided to go out to the Pub.

The Pub was actually kind of busy for a weeknight.  I got pretty drunk.  No lies.

Friday
Adam, his girlfriend Lora, Lora's daughter Aubrey, and I went to a graduation party.  Unfortunately, we were told the wrong date.  So while in Spring Valley we stopped out at our grandparents house and spent the evening hanging out with them.  The plan was to go home and get some sleep because I was going to Hershey Park with Adam and Lora.

Unfortunately, I could not sleep at all.  I only got like two hours of sleep.

Saturday
We got down to the park by ten and immediately started hitting up the coasters.  We had a great day.  Sadly though, it started to rain at like 6:30 and we ended up heading home.  Needless to say the lack of sleep made my drive home a little difficult.

Once home, I watched the Pirates lose again and took a shower.  Adam called me and we went out to the Pub.  We played some darts and pool, drank some beers, then walked home.  I then had a great phone conversation with a superawesome (there is that word again) girl.  I did not get to sleep until after 5:30 a.m.

Sunday
I slept almost all day.  I then went up to mom's house and ate a burger.  Then I came home and continued to just relax.  I watched True Blood and Treme.  I then went to bed.

Needless to say, it was a fantastic vacation.  Now I must shave the beard and go to work.  Look at that face?  Can you see how sad I am.

Opening Day

Monday was the Opening Day of baseball, which as most of you know is a holiday for me.  I went to Pittsburgh after playing cards on Easter.  Steve and I got up and we continued our tradition of going to Denny's for breakfast.  We then grabbed some beer, caught the bus, and met up with people for some tailgating.

I bought a ticket off a scalper, which ended up being awesome seats, behind home plate, on the lower level.  Ryan and his girlfriend were sitting like four sections over, which was rather random.  The stadium was packed, especially since at the home closer there were like 234 people in the stadium.

The game was absolutely awesome.  Garrett Freakin' Jones hit two homers, one of which left the ballpark.  Doumit hit one, mostly to make me look silly.  I said to Steve that he never hits homeruns from the right side, and the next pitch, he drills one over the left field wall.

The Pirates won the game 11-5.  I guess I am a good luck charm, since that makes two years in a row they won their home opener.  The Ryan Church pinch hit was awesome.  It was a fantastic game.  Nice to see a game like this.  Unfortunately, these kind of games are probably going to be few and far between.

After the game we went outside and I did some silly things with the Willie Stargell statue.  May have been on my way to a good drunk.

Actually, this picture was just me hugging his leg, but it really looks like I am trying to jerk him off.

This next picture, is exactly what it looks like.  I am pretending to massage the statues testicles.

Yes, that is a pretty sweet Roberto Clemente jersey I am wearing.  I made the mistake of wearing a long sleeve shirt underneath though, definitely did not need it.  I actually got a good bit of sun on my neck.

Once we were done fooling around, we headed to Calico Jack's for some more beer.

We then left the bar and headed back to Crafton in order to partake in trivia.  First though, we stopped at Fireside to shoot some pool.  I do not remember who won though.

Do not ask me what kind of face I am making.  That is Mikaela in the picture, she is a friend of Steve.

I found out the next day that we actually won trivia.  I have no clue how though, since I do not remember the questions.  Except for the one about Greek and Roman gods.  You had to name the Greek god from it's Roman counterpart.

All in all, it was an awesome time.  I cannot wait for the next game we go to.

Seamonkeys

Monday I decided to return to the place I love:  Mugshots.  Let me explain how great a time it was.  I get down there around seven, and Steve and I head to Wendy's for something to eat.  For those of you who know the area, remember to always hit up the Robinson stores instead of the Greentree locations.  Why?  The moron working behind the counter was way too busy (there were four people in the store) and he was ready to freak out.

After eating, we head to Mugshots.  Monday night is trivia night now.  Our team arrives, it is me, Steve, Steve's sister Leah, and this other girl Denise.  We decided to our team would be "Seamonkeys Be Fuckin' in Your Drinking Water."  We ended up destroying at trivia.  We beat every team by a few hundred points.

Our prize was the cool shirts, which Leah helped decorate for us.  We then proceeded to drink heavily for the rest of the night.  I do not remember a whole lot after that.

We hung out on Tuesday and then headed to Applebees for something to eat.  Let me say, we had the greatest time at Applebees possible.  We eavesdropped on not one, but two very entertaining conversations.  The first one was a mother/daughter combo.  The girl was fighting with her mom about her loser boyfriend.  She then called the boyfriend and told him to just go find a prissy perfect girl.

At one point the mother gives a nice long lecture and the girl looks up from her cell phone and says "oh, I did not listen to anything you just said."  I think the mother should have just smacked her.

The other conversation was a first date between a pretty cute girl and some dickbag.  After they finished eating, he goes to the bathroom (she looks absolutely bored), and then maybe five minutes after returning he says this "excuse me again, I warned you that I have a weak stomach."  He then heads to the bathroom.

In what universe does someone discuss their bowel movements during a first date.  I usually save that for a third date, at the least.  When he came back they both talked about it for a few moments (although, she seemed to be just trying to make conversation, he was ready to get very detailed).

After that, we headed to the Fireside and shot pool.  We ended up evening out 5-5.  Later Nicole came to the bar and we continued to drink for a bit.  Then we headed to King's for breakfast, where Steve puked on himself.  Okay, it was not really puke, it was more that he started choking on his steak, which caused him to start hacking up weird fluid..

Also while waiting for my food, I took a bite out of some passed out girls burger, which caused a bunch of other people to crack up.

Anyways, it was a great time and I cannot wait for April 5th.  Yes, that is the Pirates Home Opener, and we plan on doing it right.

Mugshots Robbed!

Apparently while I was being tortured by bad versions of Montell Jordan's This is How We Do It, my friend Steve was being held up at Mugshots.  I do not have the full version of what happened, but here is Steve's text messages to me:
Steve:  Dude walkd in2 mugs @last call w a gun, robbd me matt n jeremy, nic was in the back, every1s ok.
Me:  Did they catch the guy?
Steve:  not yet, they think hes local tho, oh, n theyre not gettin me this time, my written statement is detaild as SHIT! It looks like 1 of ur fantasy books.
Me:  haha.  remember if they want to plea jump at it.
This goes on for a bit, especially a few jokes about us being lawyers (Steve told some girl he knows who we bumped into at the courthouse that we were lawyers...) and then I ask if Steve is still going to Mugshots.

Steve:  No dude, im here now, its sad 2say but its not the 1st time a strap was in my face, n prob wont b the last haha, +dude was the WORST robber ever, it was actually kinda funny

Forgive the guy for the text speak, I was going to clean it up, but since everyone in the world now talks like this, I figured it would probably be easier for everyone to read.  He then tells me to check KDKA for a video of Danny, the manager of Mugshots, wearing a suit and talking about the incident.  It is right here.  Anyways, I cannot wait to head to Mugshots to hear this whole story.

One Great Day

My body has finally started to recover. From what you may be asking? From the last few days that I have put myself through. As you know, I am on vacation this week and I have definitely started it off with a bang.

The weekend was pretty much standard fare, drinking/football/laying on the couch...Monday though, that was a different story. Steve and I went to the Pirates home opener this season, and we decided that it would be cool to go to the home closer.

We do our normal tradition of heading to Denny's for breakfast, then grabbing a six-pack, then heading to the stadium. We got there around noon, cracked our beers before the bridge and made our way towards the parking lot. Once over there we found Nicole (Steve's girlfriend, Mugshots bartender, awesome girl who dresses like Supergirl for Halloween) and her friends.

We are the only people in the parking lot tailgating. Normal people are at work or in the stadium (the game has started already). Me and the one girl (Ashley) start playing catch with a football. I am wearing my favorite jeans, which have a slight hole in the ass, but nothing major. I bend down to grab the football, and hear a ripping sound. I reach back and my pants are ripped completely down the ass.

I have to walk around the rest of the day with this hole in the pants, which the friends of Nicole keep making jokes about (do not worry, it did not bother me once I was drunk).

We finally decide to head into the game, it is the 7th inning. We do not bother to look for our seats, just head to the left field bleachers and begin cheering on the Bucs, who are up 9-0. Andy LaRoche hits a ball of the foul pole and makes it 11-0. The old guys in front of us are offended because we are having fun (we made sure to not swear or say anything offensive). We are just being loud and doing the wave.

Steve and I start to get excited in the 9th inning because if Duke gets a complete game shutout, that means we would have seen him throw two shutouts, and Paul Maholm throw one as well. Go to three games and they never give up a run? Damn, they should buy us season tickets...

Alas, it was not so, Duke gave up a triple, then a sac fly scored the man. Oh well, the Pirates won...

After that we head to the South Side and drink at the Haufbrahaus (that could be the spelling, I am way too lazy to check), where we argue about the spelling of rendezvous (apparently there is no X in it like I thought).

We leave there and go to Station Square, a place called Dirty Harry's (I could be making some of these names up). Steve and I are going to shoot pool, but Nicole wants to go to Bar Louies for martini's. So they go across the street (Ashley and I stayed because we already had beer's). They said they would be a few minutes...Ashley and I play darts and talk about stuff. Those guys finally get back and we shoot some pool. Let me say, I now know most of Ashley's history, likes/dislikes/reasons for getting married/how she made a mistake...any longer and I am sure I would have been pulling out a couch and saying things like "and how does that make you feel?"

We leave there and head back over to Bar Louies, where we drink a few more, Steve and I head outside to smoke and decide to piss in the Mon. It was a cool view though, nothing like a nice backdrop for a piss.

At this point, Steve is starting to get a little drunk. Ashley leaves with some guy, and we are now down to three. Steve's friend Mikaelya (that cannot possibly be how you spell her name) comes to get us and takes us to the LBC (apparently some Mount Oliver bar). We drink there for a bit, Steve's sister joins us there.

It starts to get later in the evening, and Mikaelya takes us back to Mugshots. We drink a few more and then it becomes apparent we are both about done. We drank until about two in the morning though, a nice fun 13 hour drinking binge.

Here is the question I pose to you out there? Are you down for next years home opener? Can we top the insanity of this season?

Vacation Part Two

Last week I was on vacation, and like usual, I am going to pretty much force my exploits down all of your throats. Yes, I am evil.

It started out with a bang. Friday night my brother calls me to go out to the Pub in Philipsburg. We drink, shoot pool, and have a fantastic time. Unfortunately, nothing all that insane happened, so I will not go into the minute details.

On Saturday, I hung out with Kacie, which is always a fun time. We watched movies and just relaxed. Very nice, I needed it after the week of work I had. Sunday, I packed up my things and headed on down to Pittsburgh. Unfortunately, I had to go because of mine and Steve's court date.

I thought court was on Monday, but I was wrong and it was definitely on Tuesday. So, I went over to Mugshots and got drunk with MCA and Steve. We then drank at Steve's place with Nicole (nothing like drinking until 5:00 a.m.)

Tuesday comes and we head to court, which gets postponed yet again! Talk about annoying. Hopefully this will end in October (especially with the jerk in jail).

So, I headed on home and packed more stuff up and headed to the beach. That is where some insanity happened. Let me explain what a few days of drinking all day can be like with me. I sometimes say things you should not say to people in public.

The first night (after doing way too many shots at a few bars), I hopped on the bus to head down to the club. There was this ugly, skanky whore on the bus. She was talking to my friend and I. She kept saying she was 31 and that she used to be a stripper. She also kept asking these 16 year old girls if they wanted to do coke, which they declined. Here are some of the things I said to this woman:
"31? Are you fuckin' insane? You are definitely pushing 50, maybe 60."
"You did coke when you were 15? Look girls, this is what happens when you do drugs. You shrivel up and become a whore."
"You were a stripper? You couldn't pay me enough to see you naked."

These kind of insults kept going on and on. She thought we were going to pay her cover to the club (it was like $25). When we get to the door, she says "I am with them" (we had free passes). I then respond "like hell, why would we bring a nasty, old whore into a club with hot chicks everywhere?" She ends up paying the cover and following us around.

Inside the club, I got ridiculously drunk and stumbled around a bunch. I then proceeded to get a cab and go back to where I was staying and pass out. This was impressive because when I was sober I could not remember the address or find the place.

The next ended up getting crazier. I met these cool people, who happened to be Philly fans, at a Steelers bar. They were older than me, but they loved just making fun of everyone. We sat at the bar and just verbally abused everyone we could. Yes, I am mature. Needless to say we went to a few bars together, shot some pool (I won), played shuffleboard (I lost) and took over the jukebox at some little dive bar.

I later went to another bar and got plenty drunk yet again, and watched my friend try to get into a fight. After calming that situation, I met some Pittsburgh folks and started a nice Steelers chant, which started a nice verbal war between us and some Ravens fans. We ended up on the bus continuing the verbal battles. Needless to say it was pretty fun.

I came back home and pretty much let my body heal up. I went to work on Monday, and then had two more days off. I went to Champs on Monday night, then out to the Pub and then Suttons on Tuesday.

It was an excellent time, and I am completely rested up and ready to get back to work. Okay, that's a lie, I wish I could stay on vacation. I need to hit the Powerball.

Vacation Time

Today was my last day of work before my second vacation of the year. I get to go to court on Monday about the jumping, which means a good time in Pittsburgh, most likely a trip to Mugshots.

At the end of the week I am taking a little trip to the beach, just for two days. So that should be pretty fun. Other than that, it should be a pretty relaxing time. At least this time I will not be moving.

Sorry about the lack of posts this week, my work schedule was really weird. I am not putting up a GOTW this week. I know you are upset...

I recommend everyone picking up 311's new album, Uplifter. It's pretty damn good.

Okay, I cannot resist, here is the GOTW: Girls who are baseball fans. That is super sexy, and since the Pirates suck, might as well check out hot chicks...

Stop That or You'll Go Blind!

Not a whole lot has been happening lately, so I figured I would just point out some blogs you should be reading. These are all at the side, but maybe some of you just never bother to check them out.

The first one I need to direct you to is I know nobody asked but..., written by someone I know from my days of going to Mugshots. He is a funny guy and has an opinion on just about everything happening in the world. If you know him, you can pretty much hear him saying these things. So maybe I am biased, but you should check him out.

Next is my friend James. Many of you know him, and if you remember he was the inspiration for me to start this blog. Even though he does not post often enough, every time he does post something it is great. Imagine this blog, but written by someone with talent.

Last, but not least: Schindler's Pull List. I know what you are thinking, "I have never seen this over on the side." And you are correct, the guys at batman obviously finally changed the name of their blog.

It's funny, I do not remember how long ago it was when Jason from over there started commenting on here (I thought it was one of the multiple Jason's that comment here anyways, until I clicked on his profile). For awhile I was pretty much the only person commenting, and now look at them. Getting free comics sent to them, tons of readers, a nationally syndicated radio show (okay I made that one up, but they have a pretty sweet podcast) and now a brand new blog not affiliated with any specific character. Congratulations to Nick, Jason, and Mark for such an awesome site, and for helping me waste more time on the internet.

Also, if you go there, they kept the banner they made of my site for their friends section. Jason thought it would help bring traffic here, sadly I think most people get scared and think it must be some kind of homosexual porn site.

Friday's Game

Let me tell you how much fun Friday's game was against the Braves. Umm, well it was a blast. Steve, Kacie, and I had awesome seats, like 4 rows behind the first base dugout. We sat with all the rich folks, it was a little weird.

We saw our second shutout, with Paul Maholm pitching masterfully. Nate hit a monster home run, and we enjoyed a great night. Afterward we headed to Mugshots to drink some beer. Please enjoy the pictures.

This is a shot of PNC Park across the bridge. We obviously did not stop for Kacie to take the picture.

This is not Kacie's amazing zoom, this is how close we were to the players. Pretty freakin' sweet. Anyways, I think this was the point where Mitsy and Bob (the rich folk in front of us) were saying this was Andy LaRoche. I kept saying that it was Adam, but they would not listen. Apparently they are hard to distinguish (Adam is left handed, Andy is a righty)...Also, Bob acted like he knew everything, they would ask him questions and he would get them wrong, but I would swoop in for the steal...

Steve and I flashing our double play sign. It worked in the first inning when the Braves had the bases loaded with one out.

The Parrot seemed to be humping that little girl's face. It was quite creepy.

This kid had a Braves hat, which the Parrot kept lifting out of his reach. It was funny, but if I were the little kid, I would have pushed the Parrot off the dugout. See who is laughing then...

Sometimes I really hate Kacie, she had to call the Parrot over for a picture. I have no problem with mascots, but I do not like to be around them. Not because I have some weird phobia or anything. I just know the kind of people that enjoy wearing those suits. That guy is probably a registered sex offender, half drunk, and sporting a super hard on. He is rubbing my head saying to himself "oh yeah, I'm gonna fuck your mouth baby." It creeps me out.

This is the three of us, I said serious pose, but apparently Kacie did not listen. There is a better one on her computer, but I must have missed it when I emailed them to myself. Oops, I am an idiot.

These last bunch of pictures were taken at Mugshots. You can tell I drank a good bit because my expressions are starting to get a bit retarded. That is Ryan in the picture up there, he showed up to introduce us to his new girlfriend, Shara (no clue if I spelled it right). When he said it, I thought he was saying Sara, but with a lisp (which would fit him, since he is gay). She seemed pretty cool, but then again, I was drunk, so a fire hydrant would have been cool too.

Opening Day

Steve and I went to the Pirate's home opener on Monday. Let me tell you, that was an awesome day. We started the day by heading to Denny's for breakfast at 10 a.m. I decide to order the Grand Slamwich, but to trump me Steve starts the ordering off by saying "I'll have the SUPER grand slamwich." Which then forces me to say "I'll have the regular slamwich."

After that we dropped Steve's car off, grabbed a beer and headed over to the bus stop. Nothing like cracking a beer at 11 a.m. We waited for the bus and listened to my annoying old neighbor (Peg Leg) bitch and moan about everything in the universe.

Once we got down to the stadium, we drank the rest of our six pack and headed into the stadium. As we are walking around, we talk about how it would be cool if we just got some really big cameras and microphones and said we were with the press. Just then, Action 10 news (the Altoona news station) walks by, and Steve says "yeah, like those guys." I point out that they are actually the Altoona news. They must have heard me because they turn around and ask if they can do an interview.

Here is the interview, Steve is in the yellow hat, I am towards the end. Oddly, the questions they asked would have normally led to an answer like "they are not that good, but building blocks are in place for the future." However, I have never been on TV, so I decided to go with the standard answer that the guy wanted to hear.

We drank plenty of beer at the game and when it was over, we headed over to Jack's on the South Side. We shot pool, drank, and then left to head back home to Mugshots. Once there, we were obviously pretty drunk. We did a few more shots, and drank way too many beers.

After awhile, my body began to shut down and around midnight I had to go home. The best part is, I get to do this all over again on Friday!

Going Home

Well, it has been almost two years since I moved down to Pittsburgh, two fun years. Unfortunately, the time has come to an end and I must return home. The company I work for (that shall not be named) has finally granted my wish of returning to the central Pennsylvania region. I will be moving back up there in four or five weeks.

I will be living at my mom's house for a little bit and then I will try to find my own place or maybe find a roommate (anyone want one of those?). I am pretty excited about it, but also very sad. I have made plenty of friends down here, and will miss everyone.

I will definitely miss the fun times over at Mugshots with Steve. Before I go we need to have another Pirate home opener where we get absolutely bombed. Speaking of Mugshots, I will miss the hot bartenders: Jen, Anastasia, and Nicole. Also, MCA because he has a license to ill...

I will miss some of the people I work with, well most of them to be honest. Especially guys like Sean and Mike, we have drank plenty of beers together and I hope to see them again throughout our careers.

I am still upset that I never really got a chance to hang out with Allison, or Tami for that matter. I guess they will have to come up to Penn State...

Many of you might think this is odd, that if I am going to miss so much about my life down here, why even leave? However, these are the things I will get to enjoy being back in the center of the state. Seeing Kacie more than once or twice a month. Going to the movies with my brother. Attending any of the numerous family functions. Playing poker with the family. Hanging out with the few friends I have left from my PSU days. And last, but not least, making new friends and meeting new people. That is always a little bit scary, yet exciting.

Super Bowl XLIII

I know you are all wanting to know about how and where I watched/celebrated the Steelers Super Bowl victory. Not to disappoint you, here comes the story. Complete with pictures.

So, Kacie and I arrived at Mugshots at 6:00 p.m. I only planned to drink until half-time because I had to open the store at 5:00 a.m. The place was extremely packed. I started drinking beer and they went down very smooth. I drank three beers before kick-off. By the time half-time came around, I was drunk.

We stood with MCA (my friend from Mugshots, his real name is Sean) and his dad (Pops). Jen and Nicole were our fabulous bartenders. At the half I started drinking water and then after we celebrated for a bit, went home.

Kacie won the raffle contest, and received an authentic Polamalu jersey. At the end of the game I stood there screaming "How many times?" MCA would scream "Six times!!!" We did that for like ten minutes, which caused me to lose my voice.

A gentleman knocked my cigar out of my hand and was pissed because I was smoking it. Danny came to my defense and the guy apologized. Instead of being my normal dickish self, I moved down like three feet so it would not blow near him.

Thoughts On The Game
-Did it feel like the refs were trying to make it a close game? Not to sound like a typical fan, who feels the refs were out to get his/her team, but it looked like the Cardinals were blatantly holding on every play. I know that there is holding on every play, but some of them were pretty bad.

-Some people have said that Harrison deserved the MVP. His interception was awesome, but his defense (he is the captain by the way) almost lost the game in the 4th quarter. They were bailed out by Big Ben and Holmes. That was probably the greatest catch in Super Bowl history.

-Fuck the commercials.
